Corporate Responsibility

Corporate Responsibility

Our compass acts as a guide towards our responsibilities to the environment, the society we all live in and the people around us.

We take our shared responsibilities to the environment, the society we all live in, and the people around us seriously —  encouraging us to act as a group on projects we all care about. We achieve this by fundraising and volunteering, using environmental best practises within the workplace and through ensuring our employment processes are fair and diverse.

Supporting MFR Cash for Kids and the Mission Christmas appeal

Donated toys for Christmas presents for children across Moray, the Highlands and Aberdeenshire: ‘Times are tougher than ever for some local families at the moment. Because of your kindness we’ll be able to make a difference to children and young people who are really struggling, and ensure that they wake up to gifts on Christmas Day.

The Shoebox Appeal

Service Desk team donated a number of shoeboxes for refugees which we hope will reach their destination for the festive period celebrations. This was done via the charity Samaritan’s Purse. We packed a total of 7 shoeboxes for children (boys & girls) between the age range of 2-14yrs that consisted of basic hygiene items, school supply items and toys that are considered as luxuries for so many. So, they will all receive a colouring book, notepad, pencil case, stationary set, colouring pencils, face cloth, soap, toothbrush, and a hairbrush. They will also receive a selection of goodies consisting of 2 large toys, 2 small toys and 3 accessories to brighten up their day.’

RDB Lejog

In 2019, RDB Concepts set themselves a huge charity challenge. A group of amateur cyclists began training with the aim to complete the mammoth 1000 mile ride from Land’s End to John O’Groats in August 2020. Unfortunately, as you may have noticed, the Covid-19 pandemic hit the UK in March 2020 and what started as a 2-week lockdown suddenly turned into much more.

The event had to be postponed and it wasn’t until January of this year that the team were hopeful enough to set a new date of August 2021. Along the way, they picked up a couple of new team members and ended up with a group of 9 amateur cyclists – some with only a few months to train for the big event

After several months of hard training and lots (and lots) of cycle talk in the virtual office, the team set off on the event with the support of Sport Tours International. With a lot of hard work, the entire team pulled through and successfully completed their 1000 mile journey over a gruelling 12 days! By the end, £26,000 had been raised for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Congratulations to the 9 cyclists that completed the challenge:

Phill Evans, Hardeep Channa, Kash Hussain, Graham Collinson, Colin Smith, Dave Evans, Mariusz Sznerchu, Mumtaz Ali, Nathan Kennedy

The RDB LEJOG charity event inspired the creation of RDB Cycle which will be launching soon – RDB’s cycling club open to employees, clients, partners and the public. www.rdbcycle.com
